Over the weekend our classic Head In The Toilet became our second prank video to reach 30 million views on YouTube (the first one being Sexy Bikini Nun).
The HITT video has become a classic video on YouTube ever since it was uploaded over 5 years ago (May 2007). The prank featured longtime staff member Jean camped inside lower compartment of a porta potty with his head popping out of the toilet seat and scream every time someone would enter the portable bathroom.
I asked Jean who is now a director at the Gags what his best memory was from making that prank.
The Gags at the time had to save money when they could and they couldn’t afford a new porta potty for this gag. So they got a used one, obviously the team totally cleaned it out (worst job ever!) as well as poured a crapload (pun intended!) of disinfectant into the compartment where Jean would be spending his day. As Jean tells it, he spent 3 hours in that compartment and even though it was clean it still stank of crap and pine air fresheners. Once filming was done he stepped out dizzy from the fumes and walked over to bushes that we close by and he literally puked his guts out.
Thanks to Jean for making the ultimate sacrifice and an awesome prank that is now a bonafide classic!
